The vinyl is the extremely high quality and rated for up to 6 years in sunlight.  It has a matte finish and applies to indoor surfaces perfectly.
Ensure that the surface area is cleaned and no oils or residue is left.  Surface can have some texture - such as painted wall or can be extremely smooth - such as tile or a mirror.  However, extremely porous surfaces may not work well - such as brick or some stones.
